Gladstone
Trott
A native of the Jersey Shore, Gladstone performed his first recital
at the age of ten. Music was deeply ingrained in his soul, leading
him to present numerous other performances as far away as Washington
D.C. and even Hamilton, Bermuda. At the age of thirteen he was
offered the position of organist at St. Augustine Episcopal Church
in Asbury Park.
Gladstone
matriculated at Trenton State College. He has enjoyed playing
with numerous jazz bands, including the Lakewood Jazz Ensemble, with
Sandy Sasso, Claudio Roditi, Bob Mintzer, Butch Miles, as well as
his own band The Simple Life (no . . . not that Simple Life!).
In addition to performing at many venues in New York and the Jersey
Shore he has also made recordings with many of these artists and as
a guest artist with others.
Gladstone
continues to enjoy conducting The Down Town Glee Club in New York
City. Through this association he was invited to conduct a segment
of a Handel's Messiah performance in the Avery Fisher Hall at Lincoln
Center. As a conductor Gladstone has been able to spread his
love of music throughout the tri-state area. From the Count
Basie Theater in Red Bank, NJ - where he conducted the orchestra for
the Bob Newhart Show - to the choir at Trinity Cathedral in Trenton,
NJ.
Gladstone's
gift for and love of music has been his constant companion, as well
as a joy to those who have enjoyed the working with him. He
