Andrea Lodge


 Andrea Lodge has been called a “Must See” (The Telegram, St. John’s, Canada).  A specialist in the performance of contemporary music, she champions new works by such composers as Annea Lockwood, Elliot Cole, Erin Rogers, Andrea Mazzariello and C. Curtis Smith. Andrea was awarded top prizes at the Eckhardt-Gramatté Canadian National Competition for the Performance of New Music.


Andrea lives in NYC where she performs regularly as soloist, with the Sorce/Lodge Duo and with Hypercube, a quartet of saxophone, guitar, percussion and piano. Since 2014, she has been part of the nief-norf contemporary music organization, bringing together new ideas in music performance, composition and research. Andrea has been a featured artist at festivals such as the Big Ears Festival, Sound Symposium, NYC Electroacoustic Music Festival, UNPLAY Festival, International Computer Music Conference and Qubit Noise Non-Ference. She has performed with Yarn/Wire, Metropolis Ensemble, Ecce, and Anonymous Ensemble.


As an educator, she is Piano Area Coordinator at Five Towns College and teaches at the Greenwich House Music School. Andrea received a DMA from Stony Brook University, where she studied with Gilbert Kalish and Christina Dahl.
